Restaurant-Style "Bread" Sticks

When you're in the mood for Italian but want to skip out on the gluten, be sure to include these "bread" sticks on the dinner table. Dip them in your soup, put out a side of marinara sauce, or use them to scoop out the last bits of pasta sauce from your bowl. The possibilities are endless (and delicious).

Ingredients

cup CAULIPOWER Cauliflower-Based Baking Mix (Original)

tsp. baking powder
1/2
cup + 2 Tbsp. water
1 1/2
Tbsp. melted butter or vegetable oil

tsp. sugar
Cooking Instructions
Step 1

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl, stirring until a stiff dough forms.

Step 2

Dip hands in additional baking mix and roll dough into balls about 2 to 4 oz. in size, depending on the size of the sticks desired.

Step 3

Roll dough into 1/2 inch logs, place on parchment-lined or oiled baking sheet, and let rise 1 hr.

Step 4

Preheat oven to 450°F.

Step 6

Brush top of sticks with garlic butter OR sprinkle with shredded cheese, herbs or seeds before baking, if desired.

Step 7

Bake 15 minutes or until bread sticks are golden brown.

Step 8

Cool on pan on wire rack 5 minutes. Serve warm
